Bay State Bike Week -- May 17-21, 2010

Hey bicyclists! Get ready for a brand new Bay State Bike Week and MassCommuter Challenge in 2010! This year the Transportation Management Associations (TMAs) of MassCommute are pedaling to a whole new level with our first annual T-Shirt Design Competition!
The MassCommuter Challenge is a friendly competition taking place during Bay State Bike Week (May 17th - 21st), encouraging Bay State residents to incorporate bicycling into trips to work, conducting errands or for social activities. We are excited to announce that we have extended this year’s Challenge beyond businesses and institutions to NOW include municipalities and grade schools! Translation: ALL bicycling counts and we hope you will participate!
Who doesn’t love a T-shirt design competition?
Do you love your bike and possess at least one creative muscle in your body? If so, “EXERCISE IT!” by submitting an original T-shirt design to the competition. All you need is a design that reflects the idea of why biking is a smart way to travel from point A to point B. Think: bikes, smart transportation, a fun way to get around, environmentally friendly, good for your waist line and benefits your community. The sky is the limit, and we look forward to seeing the designs that you Bay Staters have in store for us!
The important details…..
The T-shirt design competition runs through 5pm on Friday March 12, 2010. The creator of the T-shirt design we choose as the winner will receive a $100.00 REI gift card. Your original design must be submitted electronically as a Vector Art file to dfennell@abettercity.org. Be sure to include a phone number and/or email address where you can be reached. All submitted designs will become sole property of MassCommute, which will have sole authority to select the winning design and retain sole rights to use the design as MassCommute sees fit. For additional questions please contact Dorothy Fennell by email (dfennell@abettercity.org) or phone (617-502-6251).
