Kendall Morning Outbound/Evening Inbound Advisory (posted 12/5/2011): Due to construction in the Main St. busway at Kendall Square (Stop I), at times Morning Outbound and Evening Inbound buses may be forced to depart a minute or two ahead of schedule. This is due to a lack of curb space as a result of sidewalk construction along Main St. We expect this to continue for the next few weeks. Please allow a minute or two extra time to catch your bus at Kendall until sidewalk construction is completed.
We apologize for any inconvenience resulting from these conditions. Please use caution in and around the Main St. busway in Kendall Square while construction continues.
Albany St. (Stop N) - Outbound Morning Closures: At times, buses may be forced to detour away from the Albany/Portland stop (Stop N) during morning service, due to ongoing construction-related street closures. Street closures are not announced in advance. During times when this stop is closed, please use the stops at Portland/Main/600 Tech Sq. (Stop M) or Mass. Av./Landsdowne St. (Stop O). Please see the Route Map for more detail.
EZRide Multi-Ride Ticket Books now available for purchase! (7/7/2011): Charles River TMA is now offering multi-ride Ticket Books for purchase. Ticket books allow general public (cash fare) riders to purchase multiple shuttle trips at one time. Tickets are sold in books of 10, starting at $20 for a 10-trip Ticket Book. Discounts are offered for purchases of 20, 30, or 40-trip packs. Each ticket is good for one trip at the adult cash fare (currently $2.00).
Tickets are sold through the CRTMA website using PayPal for secure transactions. Tickets can also be purcahsed by check or money order with the PDF form (please mail check to address on form). Tickets will be sent via US Mail to recipients.
Due to the need for eligibility verification, we are unable to offer ticket books for the discount fare. Discount fare riders should continue to pay the reduced $1.00 cash fare when riding EZRide.
As always, all affiliates of our sponsoring insttitutions continue to ride free of charge when showing their valid EZRide Pass Sticker or MIT ID card.
Fare Increase to Take Effect May 9: EZRide Shuttle’s single ride cash fare will increase to $2.00. Cash fares for seniors and passengers 12-17 years of age and under will also increase to $1.00.
This is the first fare increase for EZRide since the service began in January 2002. EZRide is privately-funded by 19 member companies and institutions. A portion of the private funding subsidizes the $2 fare general public cash fare.
Starting in mid-June 2011, CRTMA will introduce 10 ride ticket books to make using the service more convenient for cash fare riders. Discount riders must continue to pay cash. More information on the new fare will follow.
